Personal Message:
As avid lovers of the bush and frequent visitors to the Kruger National Park, my wife and I have always been captivated by the beauty and resilience of South Africa’s wildlife. There’s something profoundly moving about hearing a rhino’s heavy footsteps in the wild, knowing that this ancient creature has survived against all odds. But the reality is heartbreaking. Our rhinos are under siege. Poaching continues to push these majestic animals to the brink of extinction, threatening the delicate balance of our natural heritage. This is why, in 2025, we’ll be taking on the grueling 89km Comrades Marathon from Pietermaritzburg to Durban—not just as a personal challenge, but as a mission to make a difference. We’re looking to raise R50,000 for the SANParks Honorary Rangers, a volunteer organization that supports anti-poaching efforts and conservation projects. Every contribution will help fund equipment, resources, and patrols to protect rhinos in the Kruger and other parks. It’s our way of giving back to the bush we love so dearly and ensuring that future generations can experience its magic. We invite you to join us in this journey of hope and determination. Whether you’re passionate about conservation or simply want to support our run, your contribution will bring us one step closer to a world where rhinos can roam free. Let’s run for rhinos and for the wild places we hold close to our hearts. Support us today and help save our rhinos!
