Personal Message:

Running the Comrades Marathon for CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa is about giving back in a way that feels close to home. In my line of work, I often see the impact illness has on families, and nothing hits harder than seeing children and their parents face something as overwhelming as cancer. It’s moments like these that make you realize how precious health is and how strong these kids and their families have to be every single day. This run isn’t just about finishing for me; it’s about supporting CHOC and the lifeline they offer to children with cancer. Every grueling kilometer will be a reminder of what these kids go through, of the battles they fight daily that make a marathon seem easy. I’m running for their strength, to raise funds and awareness so CHOC can keep providing that critical care, hope, and support. If I can help, even in a small way, to make their journey a little easier, then every step will be worth it.
