I grew up in a home where I witnessed abuse.
The women around me stayed, and as children, we had no choice but to also stay and endure.
That kind of environment doesn’t just stay in childhood , it follows you, it shapes you as an adult, it shapes your fears and strength.
Today, I run, not just for myself, but for the children who are still in those homes where violence is louder than peace.
I’m running the Comrades Marathon to support Childline KwaZulu-Natal, because every child deserves safety, support, and someone who listens.
Running has taught me that even when it hurts, you can keep going.
And I want every child to grow up knowing that their story doesn’t end where they started.
