Personal Message:

Because I can....... In 2021 I was blessed to be this amazing boys teacher. Sadly, at the end of that year, Kai was diagnosed with Cancer and passed away after a brave fight the following year, aged 6. I am alive, he and many others like him, are not. The privilege of life is not lost on me. This year, I will set out again to attempt to cross the Comrades finish line, despite the pain that comes with my own diagnosed arthritis. Because I am still alive....because I can, I will run for this beautiful child and the many like him, who can no longer. This is for you, Kai🌻
