Personal Message:

2025 will be my first Comrades Marathon.I did my first race 10km Rockies Gerald Fox 2022. I ran my first marathon 42km at Johnson Crane Jan 2024, a year later Jan 2025 , I qualified for Comrades 2025. I never thought I would qualify for Comrades so soon within a year of running my first marathon , thanks to my amazing training team at Discovery Team Vitality 1 DP Sandton, who helped me progress to where I am currently . This being my first Comrades is special to me because those people who inspired me for this when I didn’t even think about Comrades have passed on. I decided to choose Choc Cancer Foundation, In memory of them,their love for children and their impact they had on me to achieve this . 1) Sisters Kimendhri ( 2022) & Sandoshni Pillay (2024) Sandoshni brought the idea ( Jan 2024) , Vision (that I can do Comrades ) before I even ran my first marathon , let alone qualify . Her love for kids & religion , selfless service ,always helping people in anyway , a true embodiment of love. 2) Sandy Fine (2020) - ex Rockies club , veteran green number comrades runner whom I never had the opportunity to meet but has inspired me through listening to lot of great things about her, from her granddaughter , my training partner Taryn Neuhaus who has been with me on road since day 1 on this journey to Comrades. 3) Rix Naidoo (2022) - an uncle who loved children , my role model who taught me about giving without receiving anything in return, helping people & the greatest running tool - the power of the mind. 4) Brothers Sandesh (2012)& Havinash Naidu(2022) : 2 childhood best friends that displayed unconditional love in helping people - gone too soon . 5) Mrs Subroyal (2010) : Forever missed & remembered - Prakshla’s Mom & Best friend . Support to those fighting cancer & those who we lost through cancer . In Memory of all those who passed on .
